Our facilities

At Viralgen, we maintain two manufacturing facilities separated by a short walk from one another:

Our first facility, opened in 2018, maintains 4 cGMP production suites able to produce between 250-500L in a run and up to 1500L per batch, along with fill and finish all in independent suites and carrying EMEA cGMP certification for manufacturing up to phase 3 clinical trials. Quality control and development labs are also housed within the ~45,000 square foot facility.

Our second facility, opened in 2021, houses 3 independent modules each containing 3 production trains, along with fill and finish, warehousing, and QC labs to support late phase and commercial manufacturing. In total, the facility houses 9 production suites each with up to 2,000L single-use bioreactors. This facility is more than 300,000 square feet of total space for AAV production, making it the largest facility dedicated to AAV production in the world.
