Viralgen is a CDMO born as a joint venture between AskBio and Columbus Venture Partners created in response to the unmet need for manufacturing of gene therapies. Our goal is to help broaden the access to these life-saving therapeutics and contribute to the advancement of health and human welfare around the world. About the role

We are seeking an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST who will participate in our IT Team.

As part of the it team, the specialist manages the infrastructure of our both sites but specially taking care of the security of our data. He/She oversees the security operations of organizations, develops security strategies, implements security procedures, and supervises security team.

The specialist must communicate well and must have a high level of understanding in the different business processes of the company as they will be working closely with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Implement the best standard solutions to secure the information assets. Continuous improvement of processes and technical configurations. Work close to our 3rd party assigned to our security program to keep our data secure and get into the best status in terms of security.
• Maintain the infrastructure of the company: servers, communications, security, FWs, etc.
• Responsible for third-party implementations/integrations.
• Work with suppliers and the IT teams to guarantee the system access and functionalities work seamlessly and correctly.
• Execution of system setting tasks and the implementation of new functionalities.
• Participation in validation processes and documentation tasks.
• Fostering a dynamic, communicative, and respectful work culture within the team and between different departments.

About you

• Degree in Engineering.
• High level of knowledge and background in security of security tools: Firewalls, endpoint protection, mail protection, SASE, etc.
• Background in Cloud environments: Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.
• High capacity to analyze and transform business requirements in technical solutions.
• High level of project management skills.
• Strong knowledge in virtualization, communications, FWs, etc.
• Background on security standards: ISO27001, NIST, etc. is a plus.
• Experience and understanding of pharma industry business processes is a plus.
• Security certifications: CISM, CISSP, CISA, etc is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Proactive and positive attitude to change and challenges.
• You are self-motivated and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary environment.
• You are comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
