The ‌Basque National Orchestra has debuted in Poland with a tour of four concerts. The first concert of the tour of the Euskadiko Orkestra took place in Warsaw as part of the Beethoven Easter Festival, one of the most important and prestigious in the country and Central Europe. This concert was sponsored by Viralgen and ‌Fundación Columbus.

At the end of the concert, Mrs. Elzbieta Penderecka, president of the institution and wife of the late Krzysztof Penderecki, expressed her gratitude to the orchestra and its conductor ‌Robert Treviño, the Basque Government for their presence, and Viralgen for its generous sponsorship.

In addition, the following day a meeting was held between the management of the hospital and the gene therapy center of the Brodno hospital in Warsaw which was also attended by the Minister of Health of the Basque Government, ‌Gotzone Sagardui, and the Director of Health Research and Innovation, ‌Marian Ibarrondo.

During the visit, they toured the facilities and discussed areas of collaboration between Osakidetza and the Brodno hospital in advanced therapies. Furthermore, it took place the official dedication of a Menina, created by ‌Begoña Fernández-Castaño, donated by the Fundación Columbus to the Brodno hospital in appreciation of its work in the treatment of children with AADC. The 1,80m tall Menina is now exhibited in one of the halls of the Brodno hospital.
